Red Wines
|
Troubadour NV
An
authentic discovery from rural
France. A deep, ruby red, it
comes from the village cellars
of Besse, deep in Provence.
Troubador is named in tribute to
the wandering minstrels and
poets Besse was famed for.
Troubador is a fine country red,
brimming with spiced cherries
and blackcurrants - a delicious
find, with good structure ...
terrific with any food. 12.00 |

|
Posada del Rey NV
Posada del Rey is Rioja how the
locals like it - fresh, juicy
and unoaked. Strict winemaking
laws restricting harvest yields
in Spain's No.1 red wine region
mean any surplus grapes must be
'declassified' and labelled
table wine. Vibrant ruby red
with deep flavours of juicy
redcurrant, plum and black
cherry and a silky smooth
finish. Superb with lamb and our
Asian tapas - a delight too on
its own. 14.00 |

Villa Masetti Pinot Grigio

A
top Italian Pinot Grigio with a

Grigio fans - and rosι lovers -
looking for a new level of
refreshment. It is named after
the family's magnificent 18th
Century estate and 100% of the
fruit comes from the family's
own vineyards. 2008 was a
fantastic year for Pinot Grigio,
giving plenty of fruit
concentration. Delicate salmon
pink with the unmistakable
floral aromatics of really good
Italian Pinot Grigio. 15.00

Port Wines
|
Andresen 10 Year Old White Port
NV
Unique and delicious.
Andresen is one of the last
remaining family-owned and run
Port Wine Houses and have
developed an entirely new Port
category! Andresen 10-Year-Old
White Port is one of a kind.
White port is traditionally
drunk in its youth, whilst light
and fruity. However, Andresen
realised that the high quality
white grapes, from their solely
A-rated vines, were capable of
so much more - so they began to
experiment.
Golden with attractive aromas of
dates, hints of honey and orange
blossom, and delicate old port
woodnotes. The palate is smooth
and inviting with lots of dried
fruit flavours. The wine is
sweet and nutty. Chilled, this
is a truly outstanding aperitif
and is equally delicious with
desserts. 4.00 per glass.

Andresen Late Bottled Vintage
2003
A
rich, heady and utterly
indulgent LBV Port to enjoy now.
This Late Bottled Vintage (LBV)
is renowned as having
concentration and richness to
rival even the most expensive
Vintage Ports. Inky, dense,
fruit-rich and opulent, with a
generous fruitcake and raisiny
intensity. 4.50 per glass |
